Tod Consulting’s Role on Project: Structural and Civil engineers, providing structural and civil design and documentation, together with inspections during construction.
Interesting facts: After the basement level and podium floor was completed. Our client acquired land adjacent to the site for additional carparking. Suddenly a large opening was required in the northwest basement wall, which was designed to support two floor levels and part of the building roof. Tod Consulting connected a reinforced concrete transfer beam to the existing podium level concrete slab using a technique developed by director Chris Dowding in his experience on the Inner Northern Busway project in Brisbane, as an engineer with Maunsell Australia.
